Cognitive behavioral therapy

One of the main things I like about Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is it is;

PROVEN – STRUCTERED – EVIDENCE BASED.

It all starts with you, and the making the decision to be happier than you have been in a specific area of your life or we can discuss in my complimentary ZOOM session. This could be years’ worth of unhappiness or something you have noticed just recently. CBT is highly effective – just google NHS/CBT for their views.

There will be a structured plan, and commitment from both of that to a set amount of session to start and we work from there. As with anything in life, and especially if you want to change from within – the more habitual things become, the more practice you do the quicker you will see the results. As an example of CBT in everyday life – if you think about a room in your house you have neglected to paint for a long time… it gets you down

  1. THOUGHT – My Room really needs decorating – I am so lazy
  2. EMOTIONS –  I hate this room it makes me  FEEL LIKE A FAILURE IVE NOT DONE IT FOR SO LONG. With a new fresh clean room! I will FEEL GREAT AND NOT SO ANXIOUS FRIENDS SEEING IT I might even buy some new bits for it and ask friends over to stay now.
  3. BEHAVIOUR – I will go to the DIY shop this weekend and look at colours…. Etc etc… and get started knowing its going to change how I feel for the better.
